Security Deposit Information
$600.00 is due for security deposit immediately upon booking.
House will be inspected upon departure to make sure:
- House was not smoked in
- There was no damage to inside, outside or contents
- All trash is removed
- No items are missing
- All furniture put back in place
- Turn of all electrical appliances and lights upon departure, and turn down thermostat to 45 if used
Security will be returned within 10 days of departure less any damage or extra cleaning fee.

SanMar is our sister property available for rent of First Lake in Old Forge. Discover the beauty of the Adirondacks while relaxing on the dock or at water’s edge. Just two and a half miles from town are shopping, fine restaurants, bars, and the Enchanted Forest Water Safari, New York’s largest water park with over fifty rides and attractions. Enjoy the Adirondack Scenic Railway, bike and running trails, canoe and kayak trips and rentals, mini golf, the McCauley Mountain chair lift ride and the Adirondack Museum, Inlet, The view, and Gore Mtn all within a short drive. Whether it’s to relax on the dock, water ski or sit by the firepit and roast marshmallows, Old Forge and the surrounding area has something for everyone. Please bring your own towels & linens for kitchen, bath & bedrooms. Pillows and blankets are supplied. All beds are equipped with comforters. Linens are available for a $15.00 fee per bed.
Guests are responsible for leaving the premises clean and orderly upon departure. Please sweep floors, wash and put away dishes, pick-up inside and outside of home, and return any furniture that was moved to its original position. All trash and recyclables are to be removed from the property. There is a transfer station at the bottom of McCauley Mt. to drop off trash. Please care for our house in the same manner you would yours.
Certain pets are welcome for an additional $75.00 fee. Please call to discuss. Allowance of pets is at the discretion of owners. Any damage or additional cleaning needs will be at renter’s expense, and you will forfeit a portion of the security deposit.
No smoking inside please, anyone who does not adhere to this policy will forfeit their entire security deposit. If you must smoke, please do it safely away from the buildings, and remove all cigarette butts from the premises.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
